ArcelorMittal at BTS 2026

A truss-framed stand in the QEII Centre concourse, built to carry a technical message to a specialist tunnelling audience.

Project Overview

ArcelorMittal exhibited at the BTS 2026 Conference and Exhibition at the QEII Centre in Westminster, held on 6 and 7 October 2026. The audience was a specialist one — tunnel designers, contractors and asset owners — and the stand sat in a conference concourse rather than an open exhibition hall, so the design had to work within fixed ceilings and existing architecture.

Scope of Work

A self-supporting build that carried the brand overhead without touching the venue structure, while leaving room on the floor for the conversations the stand was there to host.

Designing for a concourse, not a hall

The QEII Centre is a conference centre first. Stands sit in concourses and foyers with fixed ceilings, board-marked concrete and existing architectural features, rather than open hall floor with unlimited rigging height. Working within that meant a structure that stood on its own and a footprint that kept the walkway clear.

Outcome

The overhead header gave ArcelorMittal presence from the full length of the concourse, while the printed wall carried the technical story at eye level without becoming a wall of text. Keeping the counter forward and the seating back meant the team could greet people from the aisle and still sit down properly with a client. It is the second stand we have built for the team, after ArcelorMittal at the World Tunnelling Congress in Stockholm.
