The events centre sits on the Great Yorkshire Showground on the edge of Harrogate. Two halls give over 6,270 square metres between them, and alongside the neighbouring Pavilions of Harrogate the site offers more than 8,500 square metres of indoor exhibition space — one of the largest event footprints in the North of England, with 250 acres of showground around it.
It hosts the Harrogate Spring Flower Show, the British Potato industry event and the Knit Show, among others. For exhibitors the practical appeal is straightforward: everything is at ground level, parking is free and plentiful, and you are not fighting a city centre to get a vehicle anywhere near your stand.

What the Events Centre offers
The site is built around two halls rather than one large shed, and they are different enough that the allocation genuinely matters. Between them they hold over 6,270 square metres, and the neighbouring Pavilions of Harrogate takes the site past 8,500. Everything sits on one level, which is the detail most exhibitors notice first.
Which hall you are in changes the stand
Hall 1 is 4,320 square metres of pillar-free space, purpose-built and entirely on the ground floor. Nothing in the building dictates where a stand can sit, so your position is decided by the organiser's floorplan rather than by structural columns. In a hall that open, height and clear sightlines earn their keep — a stand that only reads from the aisle directly in front of it is working too hard.
Hall 2 is 1,950 square metres and a different proposition. It has its own entrance foyer and direct access out to the showground, but it is a more contained room, and a design scaled for Hall 1 can feel overbearing in it. Confirm which hall your show occupies before design starts, because the answer genuinely changes the brief.
Build and logistics at the Showground
Because the whole site is at ground level, most of the usual load-in friction simply does not apply — no goods lifts, no dock levellers, no queueing for a shared ramp. What does still apply is the paperwork, and that comes from your show organiser rather than from the venue, so check the manual early.
