Technical audiences want somewhere to run a proper demonstration and somewhere quiet enough to hold a real conversation, which usually means zoning the stand rather than opening it up entirely.

ExCeL's halls are open-plan and long, so a stand competes for attention across real distance. Height limits vary by hall, typically between four and six metres, and rigging, electrics and flooring must go through the venue's approved contractors. Loading runs via the east and west entrances on timed slots.
